How get the @ operator to work

I received an Excel file in Mac that has several cells with the @ operator or function. That Excel does not work with my version of Excel even though ir is up to date

    The @ symbol in Excel is called the implicit intersection operator. It is used in newer versions of Excel, especially with formulas related to dynamic arrays.

    Being fully updated does not always mean you have a version of Excel that supports the same features as the file creator.

    To help narrow this down:

    1. What exact version of Excel are you using? Go to File > Account > About Excel and share the version shown.
    2. Are you using Microsoft 365, Excel 2021, Excel 2019, or another version?
    3. What happens in the cells containing @? Do you get an error such as #NAME?, or does the formula simply return the wrong result?
