If Microsoft Copilot works in Bing but the Windows Copilot app gets stuck at sign-in, the supported checks are:

    1. Use a personal Microsoft account in the Windows Copilot app. The Windows app requires a personal Microsoft account, not a work account.
    2. If the app is using the wrong signed-in profile, switch accounts. Copilot can behave differently depending on whether the session is using a personal Microsoft account or a work/school account.
    3. If the app still does not sign in, repair or reset the app:
      • Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps
      • Find Microsoft Copilot
      • Open Advanced options
      • Try Repair first
      • If that does not help, use Reset
    4. If the issue started after an update, uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft Copilot app from Microsoft Store.
    5. If the app is opening a web-based sign-in flow and stays stuck there, make sure the browser session is not blocked by cookie settings. For Microsoft 365 web apps, license validation requires third-party cookies. In Edge: Settings and More > Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data > ensure Block third-party cookies is Off.
    6. If signed in with a work or school account, switch to the correct account type for the app experience being used. The consumer Copilot app and Copilot for work use different account experiences.

If the app remains stuck after these steps, use the web experience instead while troubleshooting:

    Hello Aditya,

I understand that Copilot works through Bing on your HP Envy, but the Windows app remains stuck at the login bar. This suggests the issue may be specific to the app’s connection or Windows authentication process.

    Please try these checks:

    1. Open Start, search for Get Help, then enter Copilot connectivity troubleshooter and follow the prompts.
    2. Temporarily disconnect any VPN or proxy, then test Copilot again. If possible, connect the laptop to a different network, such as a phone hotspot.
    3. Open Microsoft Store > Library > Get updates to update Copilot and related components.
    4. Install pending Windows updates under Settings > Windows Update, then restart the computer.

Could you also confirm if the login bar keeps loading indefinitely, or does it eventually display an error message?
