    Could you provide a few details?

    • What is your PowerPoint version? Please go to File > Account > About PowerPoint and share the version/build number.
    • Does the Record button appear grayed out in all presentations or only one specific presentation?
    • Is the presentation stored locally on your PC, or is it opened from OneDrive/SharePoint/Teams?
    • When you mention the red Record button is grayed out, are you still able to click From Beginning or From Current Slide in the Record tab and start a recording session? Screenshot 2026-09-06 at 22.46.30
