how do i transfer my office license to a new PC

I have replaced my old HP laptop with a new DELL one as the old HP was having issues.

I have a my own copy of Office and i have uninstalled it from my HP laptop. I have now installed it on my new DELL laptop, but the license key says its already been used.

Can you please help me transfer the key to the new Dell laptop.

    You can't reuse the product key, once it has been redeemed into an account.

    Since you have installed Office on your new PC, I take it you have access to the account which stores the Office license?

    If this is a one-time payment license (such as Office 2024), try using the activation portal to (re-)activate your product. Go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/activation/activate-microsoft-perpetual-products-using-the-product-activation-portal .

    Office uses digital licensing, the product key can only be used initially when activating the licence, log into your Microsoft account on this link, do you find your Office licence linked to your account there?
