    Hi max milne,

That sounds frustrating, especially when the PIN prompts keep reappearing faster than you can close them.

Based on your description, it appears that a Windows component, browser, or app may be repeatedly attempting to authenticate and continuously triggering sign-in requests. Since the source of the prompt isn't yet clear, a few quick checks can help identify what's causing the loop.

    Please try these checking steps:

    1. Restart your PC and check whether the prompts return immediately.
    2. Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and note which application is active when the PIN prompt appears.
    3. If you're using a web browser, close all browser windows and reopen the browser without restoring previous tabs.
    4. Temporarily sign out of any Microsoft apps that are repeatedly requesting credentials, then sign back in.

To help narrow this down further, could you let us know:

    • Is the PIN prompt coming from Windows itself or from a browser tab?
    • Which browser or application is open when this happens?
    • Can you share a screenshot of the prompt (with any personal information removed)?

With a bit more information, the community can help identify the specific source of the repeated sign-in requests and suggest more targeted troubleshooting steps.

Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.
