Recently, a game I love and play often has started acting weird.

it functions perfectly fine on my Xbox, and technically it does on my HP Envy 360 (touchscreen laptop), except for one minor detail- On specifically my laptop, the game’s window is visually squished. It’s acting like I have it squished into the middle vertical third of the screen, and I have no idea how to fix it. I’ve tried clicking repair multiple times on both the XBox app, and the actual computer‘s settings, including updating and restarting my computer itself. I’d loathe to lose any progress in my game.

If anyone has any way of helping, please please PLEASE let me know. I don’t know who to contact, or what to do.

Your laptop is squishing the game because the display settings or resolution for that game got messed up. The Xbox version looks normal because it uses a fixed screen size.

Try this:

Open the game → look for Settings → Display / Graphics → set Resolution to your laptop’s full screen (like 1920×1080).

If the game doesn’t have display settings, right‑click your desktop → Display Settings → make sure Scale is 100% or 125%.

Also try pressing Alt + Enter to switch between windowed and full‑screen.

This won’t delete your game progress. It’s just a screen‑size fix.
