A family of Microsoft presentation graphics products that offer tools for creating presentations and adding graphic effects like multimedia objects and special effects with text.
To make a PowerPoint slide advance automatically:
- Select the slide.
- Go to the Transitions tab.
- In the Timing group, under Advance Slide:
- Select After.
- Enter the number of seconds or minutes to wait before moving to the next slide.
- If manual clicking should not be required, clear On Mouse Click.
- If the same timing should apply to every slide, select Apply to All.
If a slide has animations or effects, the automatic timer starts after the final animation or effect finishes.
To control how fast the transition itself plays, use the Duration box on the Transitions tab. A shorter duration makes the transition faster.
If the presentation should open directly as a slide show, save it as a PowerPoint Show (.ppsx):
- Select File > Save as.
- Select More options or Browse.
- Under Save as type, select PowerPoint Show.
