Hi Thomas Jensen,
I understand how useful the Designer integration can be, especially when it has been part of your regular photo editing workflow. Since you've already repaired, reset, and reinstalled Photos without any change, it may be worth checking whether this behavior is related to a recent app update or a change in how the Designer feature is being delivered within Photos.
As a workaround, you can try the following:
- Open Microsoft Store and check for updates for both Microsoft Photos and Microsoft Designer.
- Launch the Microsoft Designer app directly from the Start menu to confirm it is installed and functioning correctly.
- If available, test with another image file type (such as JPG or PNG) to see whether the Designer option appears for specific formats only.
If the feature remains unavailable, consider submitting feedback through Photos > Settings > Send Feedback so the Photos team can review the behavior.
Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas.
I appreciate you taking the time to describe the troubleshooting you've already completed. Hopefully one of the checks above helps narrow down whether this is an installation issue or a change in feature availability.
