Hello,

I am a full-time university student in Türkiye and I have an active and verified GitHub Student Developer Pack.

My GitHub Education status shows:

  • Verified (benefits available)
  • Application Type: Student
  • Benefits active until September 1, 2028

The GitHub Student Developer Pack currently includes the Microsoft Azure offer with $100 Azure credit for students aged 18+.

I am trying to activate Azure for Students for the first time.

My Microsoft account is a personal Microsoft account using my Gmail address, and I use my university email address when Azure asks for my academic/student information.

Azure Portal works and I can sign in successfully, but under Subscriptions I have 0 subscriptions. No Azure subscription has ever been created on this account.

When I try to activate Azure for Students, I receive this error:

“You do not have access. Sorry, but our systems are detecting a problem with your account and are unable to validate your access.”

I have already tried:

  • the GitHub Student Developer Pack Azure redemption link
  • the Azure for Students page
  • signing out and signing in again
  • accessing Azure Portal directly
  • the Azure for Education support path

The support path redirects me to Engage Center, where it says that I have no workspace permissions, so I cannot create a support request there.

Could someone please check whether there is an eligibility, account validation, or provisioning problem preventing my Azure for Students subscription from being created?

I currently have no Azure subscription at all.

Thank you.Hello,
