Hii Microsoft Support,

I am having issues with virtualization in latest version of windows so i am trying to install previous version of windows.

The main problem is I want to install VMWare on my laptop, and my pc does not have any dedicated GPU so this is making super laggy experience with VMWare.

And latest version of windows doesn't allow me to disable virtualization internally, So that's the perfect plan to execute. I know that disables in 23H2 or 24H2. So give me the official link of 24H2 Media creation tool, if it did not work then will try 23h2.

If you can tell me how i can download media creation tool of previous version of windows from updump tell me, so i can download anytime.

Thanks & Regards,

Roshan Lanjewar

Refer to https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/discussions/windows11/windows-11-media-creation-tool-download-for-23h2/4365442 (this concerns 23h2, but the same principle applies)

If you’re looking to download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool for 23H2 but only see the latest version (24H2) available on Microsoft’s site, there are a few options you can consider. Unfortunately, Microsoft typically only provides access to the most recent version of their OS directly, so finding older versions can be tricky. Here are some suggestions to help you out:

1: Official Microsoft Download Page: Even though the official Microsoft page might not provide the 23H2 version of the Media Creation Tool, you can visit the Windows 11 download page for the ISO file:

  • Go to the Windows 11 downl0ad page
  • You can select "Download" under the "Create Windows 11 Installation Media" section. This might only give you the latest version, but it's a good first step.

2: Use the Windows Insider Program: Sometimes, earlier versions can be accessed through the Windows Insider Program. If you’re willing to enroll, you might gain access to older builds and insider previews that could let you roll back to 23H2 temporarily.

3: Find an ISO File: If you can’t find the Media Creation Tool for 23H2, you might have to look for an ISO file of that version. Sometimes, third-party sites or forums have links to older Windows ISOs. Just be very careful where you download from—make sure it’s a reputable source to avoid malware.

4: Create a Bootable USB using Rufus: If you can get an ISO of Windows 11 23H2, you can use a tool like Rufus to create a bootable USB drive.

  • Download Rufus from its official site.
  • Insert a USB drive (8 GB or larger).
  • Open Rufus, select your USB drive, choose the downloaded 23H2 ISO file, and then create the bootable USB.

About the Windows 11 media creation tool download for 23H2. Another pathway is to reach out to community forums, such as Reddit or Microsoft’s forums. Often, users who have faced similar issues can share their own ISO files or links to help you.
