    Hi André Larios,

I understand that all messages dated before January 18, 2025, are no longer accessible, including emails containing important personal documents.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access the mailbox or restore messages directly.

The Q&A Assist answer provides the appropriate initial recovery checks. Have you had a chance to try those steps, and were any messages found?

I would also suggest searching from Outlook.com with the scope set to All folders, using a known sender, subject keyword, or date range. In addition, select Filter > All, then review Settings > Mail > Rules for any rule or Sweep action that may have moved or deleted older messages.

If the messages remain unavailable, contact Outlook.com support so the account can be reviewed:

    1. Go to Outlook.com and sign in.
    2. Select the Help icon, the question mark, in the upper-right corner.
    3. In the Help pane that opens, search for "email management", then press Enter.
    4. Scroll down the page until you see "Still need help?", click Yes.
    5. Choose "Chat with a support agent in your web browser."
    6. Review the issue description and confirm an email address you can access.
    7. Click Confirm to create the service request. The screen will indicate that your request has been submitted and the system is connecting you to Outlook.com live chat support, which may take a moment to load.

Please be aware that support may be able to investigate what happened, but restoration cannot be guaranteed if the messages are no longer within the mailbox’s recovery options.

For Outlook.com, start with the places where older mail is commonly hidden or filtered:

    1. Check Junk Email. If the missing messages are there, select them and choose Report > Not junk. Messages in Junk Email are automatically removed after 30 days and aren’t recoverable.
    2. Check the Other tab if Focused Inbox is enabled. Messages can appear there instead of the main inbox.
    3. Check the Archive folder. If the messages were archived, move them back to Inbox.
    4. If the account might have been accessed by someone else, review the Recent activity page for sign-ins from the last 30 days.
    5. If the messages were deleted, try recovering them from Deleted Items by using Recover items deleted from this folder in Outlook on the web.

If the messages are not in Inbox, Junk Email, Other, Archive, Deleted Items, or Recover items deleted from this folder, there is no other supported way to restore them from Outlook.com. Community guidance in the provided material states that permanently deleted messages that are no longer in Deleted Items can’t be recovered.
