Using the New Outlook for Mac for personal email and calendar
Hi Pam Bradley,
Since Outlook is working as expected on your MacBook Air but some folders are missing on the desktop Mac, it may be helpful to first confirm whether the issue is related to folder synchronization rather than the Outlook version itself. Your two devices are already on very similar builds (16.112.2 vs. 16.112.3), so checking folder visibility and sync status could help narrow things down.
You can try the following:
- Sign in to Outlook on the web and verify whether the missing folders appear there.
- In Outlook for Mac, right-click the account and select Synchronize Now.
- If the folders are visible on the web but not on the desktop Mac, remove and re-add the affected account in Outlook.
- Open Help > Check for Updates and run Microsoft AutoUpdate to confirm the latest updates have been installed.
If the folders appear correctly in Outlook on the web and on your MacBook Air, but continue to be missing only on the desktop Mac after re-syncing, please let us know whether the account is Outlook.com, Gmail, or another provider, and whether the missing folders are custom folders or standard folders such as Inbox, Sent Items, or Archive. That information can help identify the next troubleshooting steps.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction. Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.
