How to log in on OneDrive on an iPhone

I've downloaded the OneDrive app and had difficulty logging in, so i changed my password. This was apparently done correctly, but now I can't log in using that correct password. The error message is "You've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect account or password" but now I am using a correct email and password. What should I do?

    Hello,

Repeated sign-in attempts may temporarily block your account for unusual activity.

So, wait for 24 hours before trying to sign in with your Microsoft account again on OneDrive.

During sign-in, connect your device to a different Wi-Fi network, such as a mobile hotspot, and enter your password once to check whether it works.

Alternatively, you can skip typing in your password and select "Other ways to sign in" on the screen, then use your recovery email address or Phone number to receive the Verification code and sign in.

This usually means the account is temporarily blocked after too many failed sign-in attempts, even if the password is now correct.

    Try this:

    1. Stop trying to sign in for 24–48 hours. Repeated attempts can extend the lockout.
    2. After the wait, try signing in again in the OneDrive app.
    3. If the OneDrive app shows a gray icon with a line through it or says it is not connected, open the app and enter the email address and password again at the Set up OneDrive screen.
    4. If the problem continues, use the Microsoft account sign-in helper to check for account issues.
    5. If sign-in works but OneDrive still will not connect, test on a different network or mobile hotspot. A firewall, VPN, or internet provider can block access to OneDrive.
    6. Make sure the OneDrive app is up to date.

    Important checks:

    • If this is a personal Microsoft account, the sign-in helper is the recommended next step.
    • If this is a work or school account, try resetting the password again only if needed, or contact the organization’s IT admin.
    • If more than one Microsoft account exists, make sure the correct account is being used.
