Artifact Signing organization identity validation repeatedly fails during the Face Check step.

I previously encountered a name mismatch issue, but I deleted the previous Verified ID and recreated it with the correct legal name. The name mismatch issue has been resolved.

The remaining issue is that Face Check repeatedly fails during identity verification.

I recreated the Verified ID through the trusted identity verifier and retried the verification process, but the Face Check continues to fail.

Artifact Signing account: snsboomcodesign Organization: 쎈붐 Country/Region: Korea

The error shown is: "Error: Face Check failed. We could not verify your identity."

Please investigate whether there is an issue with the Face Check / Verified ID verification process or the backend identity validation state.

Please advise whether the identity validation record needs to be reset or whether any additional action is required.

For repeated Face Check failures after the name mismatch was already corrected, the supported next actions are:

    1. Delete the existing identity validation request.
    2. Remove the associated Verified ID from Microsoft Authenticator.
    3. Submit a new identity validation request.
    4. Create a new Verified ID and make sure all information is accurate.
    5. Complete the verification in an environment with adequate lighting.

For technical errors during Microsoft Authenticator and Verified ID validation, also do the following before retrying:

    1. Fully close all open instances of Microsoft Authenticator on the phone, then reopen it.
    2. Update Microsoft Authenticator to the latest version on Android or iOS.
    3. Clear the browser cache, or retry in a different browser.
    4. Avoid weak Wi‑Fi and do not use a VPN or proxy during the process.
    5. If possible, try a different phone, because device-specific settings or security policies can interfere.

For Face Check specifically, lighting and photo quality matter:

    • Face Check can fail in bright environments or near bright windows and lights.
    • Better results are recommended in darker environments, away from bright windows and overhead lights.
    • The photo stored in the Verified ID should be clear enough for face comparison.
    • If the source photo is blurry or low quality, Face Check accuracy can be affected.

The available documentation does not provide a supported backend reset procedure for Artifact Signing identity validation state beyond deleting the existing request and recreating the Verified ID and validation request.
