    1

Click your Start Button, then just type powershell, on the resulting list, right click PowerShell and select 'Run as Administrator'.

Paste this into PowerShell and press Enter.

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.YourPhone -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage

    2

When that process completes, close PowerShell, restart (not shut down) your PC and download the latest version of the Phone Link app form the Microsoft Store.

I just clicked on my shortcut to open Phone Link, and nothing happened. We may have to wait for a while and see if it works later.

Update: I rebooted my computer and now my phone link is working again.

Phone Link is available only on PCs running Windows 10 or Windows 11.

To install or reinstall it on the PC:

    1. Open Microsoft Store.
    2. Search for Phone Link.
    3. Select Install.

If Phone Link is already present but not working correctly:

    1. Open Start and search for Phone Link.
    2. Right-click Phone Link and select App settings.
    3. Select Terminate, then Repair, then Reset.
    4. Restart the PC.

If it still fails, reinstall it:

    1. Open PowerShell (Admin).
    2. Run:
    get-appxpackage Microsoft.YourPhone | remove-appxpackage

    1. Then reinstall Phone Link from Microsoft Store.
    2. Restart the PC.

If the issue is during setup after installation, make sure the PC and Android device are nearby, turned on, and connected to the same Wi‑Fi network.
