Voucher Error: "Voucher is Expired" when trying to reschedule exam before the delivery deadline

Hi Microsoft Support Team,

I am trying to reschedule my exam to 17th October 2026, which is before the official delivery deadline of 18 October. However, the Pearson VUE system is blocking me with the following error message:

*"The selected appointment cannot be scheduled. The registration was discounted with a voucher and the voucher has restrictions (*******AB24). The new appointment does not satisfy the following restriction: The voucher is Expired and can no longer be used."

This voucher was earned through a recent Microsoft Skills event. I understand the booking deadline has passed, but I am trying to reschedule an existing appointment to a date that strictly falls within the allowed delivery window (before 18 October).

Could a moderator please private message me so I can provide my MCID and registration details to help get this sorted or manually rescheduled?

Thank you!

This is a community forum not support

You cannot schedule or reschedule an exam booked with an AI Skills Fest exam voucher after August 18th

PS MCID's no longer exist https://learn.microsoft.com/training/support/faq?pivots=profile&source=docs#what-happened-to-my-mcid

Event exam vouchers must be used to both schedule and take the exam before the voucher expiration date. Voucher expiration extensions are not permitted, and expired vouchers are not replaced. If the system says the voucher is expired during rescheduling, that change cannot be completed through self-service once the voucher no longer satisfies its restrictions.

For rescheduling or cancellation, use the Learn profile path:

    1. Sign in to the Learn profile.
    2. Open Profile from the avatar menu.
    3. Go to Credentials > Certifications.
    4. Find the exam appointment and select Cancel or Reschedule.
    5. Complete the change on the exam delivery provider site.

Be aware of the timing rules in the published policies:

    • Event vouchers require booking and taking the exam before the stated expiration date.
    • Voucher expiration extensions are not permitted.
    • If a company-purchased voucher is used, rescheduling or cancellation must be done at least 24 hours before the scheduled exam or the voucher is forfeited.
    • Some event voucher terms state that canceling or rescheduling within 72 hours of the appointment may forfeit the voucher.

For an expired-voucher rescheduling issue, the documented path is to contact Microsoft Credentials support. If the appointment was canceled by Pearson VUE, published guidance states the voucher should be reinstated automatically; if that does not happen, contact Pearson VUE support.
