I tested and it is working normally on my side.
May I ask which browser are you using? If possible, try loading the page again, use Microsoft Edge if possible.
If the issue persists, please test in incognito web, or clear browser data and try again. Also, may I ask when you add the assignees, does the drop down list of users appear?
Please try and let me know, if the issue is still there, I will try to find another approach.
