Unable to renew certificate (Power Platform Functional Consultant)

Hi!

I'm trying to renew my Power Platform Functional Consultant certification, but whenever I click the "Renew" button I get the message "Sorry, this renewal is not accessible at this time"

Things I have tried:

  1. Incognito mode
  2. Different browser
  3. Different browser + incognito mode
  4. Clearing the cache
  5. Directly navigating to the link instead of using the button: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/power-platform-functional-consultant-associate/renew/

What can I do to resolve this? Could it be related to the certification being retired? The page clearly says "This certification is renewable" though, so I guess that's not the issue?

The PL-200 exam and Power Platform Functional Consultant were retired at the end of August.

A retired certification cannot be renewed.

Your certification will remain active until its expiry date and then move to historical certifications on your transcript.

It does appear that Microsoft Learn leaves the renewal option open even though the certification has retired.

    So I just noticed this message on the renewal page:

    This certification, related exam, and renewal assessments was retired on August 31, 2026. Learn more.

    Not sure why I get a button to "Renew" a certification whose renewal assessment has been retired...
