Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
For new Outlook for Windows, third-party account syncing is supported for Gmail and Yahoo. The documented cloud sync support in new Outlook for Windows does not list generic IMAP accounts such as Netvigator.
What can be done:
- In new Outlook, try adding the Netvigator account:
- Open View tab > View settings or File > Account info.
- Select Accounts > Your accounts > Add Account.
- Enter the Netvigator email address.
- If automatic setup does not work, use classic Outlook and add it manually with the server settings:
- Open classic Outlook.
- Select File > Add Account.
- Enter the email address.
- Select Advanced options.
- Check Let me set up my account manually.
- Select Connect.
- Choose IMAP.
- Enter the incoming and outgoing server settings, then complete sign-in.
- If the account is an Exchange account, the Exchange server name must come from the organization that provided the email address.
For Outlook help, the practical path is to use classic Outlook for manual IMAP/POP setup when a third-party provider is not supported in new Outlook.
