    Hello Yang,

To support you, might I confirm:

1/ Might I confirm whether this is a Microsoft 365 work/school account or a personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live)?

2/ You mentioned that you are prompted to change your password. Might I reconfirm whether the AADSTS900561 error appears:

    • Before submitting the new password?
    • Immediately after clicking Change Password?
    • After seeing a "Password changed successfully" message?

(If you have changed the password successfully, you need to try to log in again with a new password to see how it behavior)

3/ Which browser and device are you using when the issue occurs (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari; Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android)?

You can try to use another web browser in cognitive mode and double check the issue again.

4/ If this account is provided by your organization, could you please check whether other users in the same organization are experiencing similar sign-in issues?

Besides, I'd like to share a few troubleshooting steps and some screenshots I prepared to help you check whether they can identify the cause of this behavior.

1/ Test in an InPrivate/Incognito window

This helps determine whether the issue is caused by a corrupted browser session, cached sign-in data, or cookies.

2/ Clear browser cookies or try another browser

AADSTS900561 can occur when cached cookies, authentication session data, or browser-specific settings interfere with the Microsoft sign-in flow. Testing another browser can help determine whether the issue is isolated to the current browser.

    • Clear cookies/cache related to Microsoft sign-in.
    • Close and reopen the browser.
    • Try signing in again.

If the issue persists, test using another browser (e.g., Edge, Chrome, Firefox).

I hope I've been able to help in some way. Please keep me posted for further assistance.

    Kind regards,
