Scheduling and managing events using Outlook.com calendar
For Outlook.com and Outlook on the web, this is usually controlled by Events from email, not an auto accept setting.
Try this in Outlook on the web:
- Select Settings.
- Go to Calendar > Events from email.
- For each event type, choose either:
- Don't show event summaries in email or on my calendar, or
- Only show event summaries in email
- If the feature was turned off and a message says "Events from email aren't turned on for your account.", select Turn on events from email only if needed.
Important details:
- These settings cannot be changed in Outlook for Windows; they must be changed in Outlook on the web or Outlook.com.
- Past messages are not changed retroactively.
- Events from unsupported providers are not added automatically.
- If using classic Outlook on the web, go to Settings > Options or Mail > Calendar > Events from email, then choose Don't add events to my calendar from email or clear the event-type checkboxes.
If the items being added are actual meeting invites rather than travel, delivery, dining, bills, or similar email-derived events, the available context only confirms the Events from email controls above for Outlook.com/Outlook on the web.
