Open Maps and see if it finds your location:
If Maps can't find you either → the issue is at the Windows location-platform level, not Find My Device specifically. Go straight to the registry check — a leftover DisableLocation key in the OEM image is common on new Lenovo units and won't show up as a toggle in Settings at all.
[Press Win+R, type regedit. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\LocationAndSensors. If a 'DisableLocation' value exists and is set to 1, delete it or set it to 0]
If Maps can find you fine → the problem is specific to Find My Device, which almost always means the account type . Check Settings > Accounts > Your info — if it shows a work/school account instead of a personal Microsoft account, that's your answer, and no amount of toggling location settings will fix it.
