Hi Team,
I accidentally logged in to my office Microsoft email on my personal device a few days ago, contacted the IT admin, and had the account removed from my personal device. The office wallpapers and details were deployed across the personal system, but I somehow managed to restore my settings. When I turned on Chrome or any browser(edge, mozilla) to access other applications for entertainment like Netflix or courses for my development from different platforms, however, I was flagged with " blocked by your IT admin" Even my Windows Security says "your admin handles a few security settings" when I tried to turn off the tamper toggle. I tried everything from resetting Chrome, command prompt codes, policy updates, erasing Windows Security admin profiles, deleting files/apps in HLKM, trying to force update, setting up new LGPO, setting up my network/WIFI protocols, apparently every simple to complex trick I could find online for 4 days. it still flags the same message though, and the windows security is still under some admin's control when the device is already disconnected from the office account. I wish I could just undo everything. Guide me to resolve it, please.

Welcome Anshu Rompicherla,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

From what you described, simply removing the work account may not have removed all of the management policies that were previously applied. The screenshot showing "This content is blocked by your IT admin" and Windows Security reporting that "your administrator manages some settings" suggests that the device may still be enrolled in a management profile or have security policies remaining on the PC.

Before suggesting more advanced fixes, could you please check the following:

  1. Open Settings > Accounts > Access work or school
    • Do you still see any work, school, or organization account listed there?
    • If yes, please select it and choose Disconnect
  2. Is the Windows account you currently sign in with a personal Microsoft account or a local account?
  3. In the same Access work or school page, click any existing connection and select Info if available.
    • Does it mention Microsoft Intune, MDM, or that the device is managed by an organization?
  4. Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run: dsregcmd /status . Under Device State, please tell me whether AzureAdJoined, DomainJoined, or WorkplaceJoined shows YES.

Looking forward to your update.
