A family of Microsoft presentation graphics products that offer tools for creating presentations and adding graphic effects like multimedia objects and special effects with text.
Animations only play in Slide Show view, not while editing.
Try this:
- Open the presentation.
- Start the presentation in Slide Show view:
- Select Slide Show at the bottom of the screen, or
- Press F5 to start from the beginning, or
- Press Shift+F5 to start from the current slide.
- Click the slide to trigger animations that are set to start On Click.
If the animation still does not play:
- Select the object on the slide.
- Go to the Animations tab.
- Confirm that an animation effect is applied.
- Open Animation Pane to check whether the effect is present and in the correct order.
- Under Timing, check how the animation starts:
- On Click requires a click during the slide show.
- With Previous starts together with the previous effect.
- After Previous starts automatically after the previous effect.
- If needed, use Move Earlier or Move Later to reorder the animation.
If all objects appear at once, the effects may be set to the same trigger or not being tested in Slide Show mode. Testing in Slide Show mode is required for triggers and click-based animations to behave correctly.
If the goal is to stop animations entirely for the presentation, go to Slide Show > Set Up Slide Show and clear Show without animation.
