Not Receiving Key Emails and Not Certain if Outgoing Emails are Being Received

For a couple of months I have noted not receiving emails from important companies that supply orders to our internet book store. In addition I am not receiving responses to messages to set up vital social justice events. At one point I contacted both MSN and Dell and was told all is fine. I attempted today to access the "Repair" choice for Outlook under "Installed Apps" but when I hit "Start" nothing seemed to happen. I spoke to an MSN rep who then referred me to a tech support person, who then told me to connect with the internet Outlook. That didn't happen. When I called MSN support I told the automatic operator to put me in contact with an agent for Outlook. It terminated the phone call referring me back to MSN support. Have I exhausted all possibility of help from MSN and should move to another browser?

Hi @Daniel Callaghan

I’m sorry you’ve been dealing with this for so long, especially when the missing messages affect your bookstore and important events.

Changing browsers may help you access Outlook.com, but it will not necessarily resolve the underlying mail-delivery problem. Please first sign in to Outlook.com using a private or incognito window in an updated browser such as Edge or Chrome. If Outlook.com does not load, temporarily disable any ad-blocking or pop-up-blocking extensions and try again.

Once signed in, please check:

  • Junk Email, Other, Deleted Items, and Outbox
  • Settings > Mail > Rules and Forwarding
  • Settings > Mail > Junk email for blocked senders
  • Settings > Storage to confirm the mailbox is not full

Please also send a plain test email without an attachment from a different email account, rather than only sending from the affected address to itself. If messages are missing in Outlook.com as well as the desktop application, repairing Outlook or changing browsers is unlikely to resolve the delivery problem.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.
