Previously, I had to select “Open this page in Compatibility View (Internet Explorer mode)” to access my website properly, but now that option is no longer available.

Compatibility View is not implemented in Microsoft Edge. The older toggle shown in the first screenshot is no longer available.

What still works is Internet Explorer mode:

    1. Open Edge and go to edge://settings/defaultBrowser.
    2. Under Internet Explorer compatibility, set Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) to Allow.
    3. Restart Microsoft Edge.
    4. Open the site.
    5. Select Settings and more (...) > Reload in Internet Explorer Mode.
      • On Edge version 92 or earlier: More tools > Reload in Internet Explorer Mode.

If the device is unmanaged and running Edge version 141 or later, add the site directly:

    1. Go to Settings and more (...) > Settings > Default browser.
    2. In Internet Explorer mode pages, select Add a page.
    3. Add the site.
    4. Reload the site.

If Reload in Internet Explorer mode is missing on a managed device, the organization must enable the policy to allow unconfigured sites to be reloaded in IE mode. On managed devices, the setting can also appear greyed out.

    Also note:

    • Internet Explorer support ended on June 15, 2022.
    • Compatibility View settings from Internet Explorer do not carry over to Microsoft Edge.
