    Hi,

    If you're getting a notification that

    it is Off, but actually shows as On this

    is a Known Issue.

    "Windows Security not working" can refer to several different issues, such as the app not opening, showing a blank screen, displaying an error message, or reporting that protection is turned off. Could you let us know exactly what happens when you open Windows Security? If there is an error message, please share the wording or a screenshot. 

    In the meantime, please try these quick checks: 

    Option 1: Open Services 

    • Press Windows + R > type services.msc and press Enter 
    • Verify that Security Center is running and its startup type is not set to Disabled. 

    Option 2: Restart the Windows Security app:  

    • Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps 
    • Find Windows Security 
    • Select Advanced options > Repair 

    Option 3: Run a system file check:  

    • Open Command Prompt as Administrator 
    • Run: sfc /scannow 

    Option 4: Restart the computer after the scan completes and check whether Windows Security opens normally.
