API access and integration with Microsoft Partner Center for managing partner data
A pending Email Ownership step usually means the primary contact still needs to complete the verification email flow, or the status hasn’t updated yet.
- In Partner Center, go to Account settings > Legal info > Verification Summary to confirm whether the status is Pending User Action, In Progress – Microsoft Action, or Not Verified.
- If the application status page is not visible, the application hasn’t been fully submitted yet. Complete the required verification steps first.
- For Email Ownership, check the primary contact mailbox for the verification message from Microsoft with subject Action needed: Verify your email account with Microsoft.
- If the email is missing:
- Check Junk/Spam.
- Use Resend verification email from the partner profile page or Partner Center account dashboard.
- Clear browser cache and try again.
- Try a different browser.
- Ask the mail or IT team to allow messages from microsoft.com.
- The email verification link is valid for seven days. If it expired, resend it and complete the new link.
- After completing the email verification, allow some time for Partner Center status to update. Status changes can take time to reflect across all areas.
Relevant status meanings:
- In Progress – Microsoft Action: Microsoft is reviewing; no action is needed.
- Pending User Action or User Action Needed: more information or a verification step is still required.
- Verified: the check completed successfully.
- Not Verified: the check failed and needs correction.
Enrollment becomes active only once vetting is Authorized. After verification completes, the enrollment status changes from pending to authorized.
