Outlook.com Not Saving Blocked/Safe Sender Changes

I'm trying to receive a T-Mobile verification email for setting up my T-Mobile ID. I found a legitimate T-Mobile email in my Junk folder, so I know T-Mobile is sending emails to my Hotmail account.

The problem is that email is listed under Blocked senders and domains. When I try to remove it, Outlook says "Something went wrong. Please try again later" and the change does not save.

I also tried adding the email under Safe senders and domains, but I get the same "Something went wrong. Please try again later" message and it won't save.

How can I fix Outlook.com so that I can remove the T-Mobile domain from my blocked senders and/or add it to Safe Senders? Is there another way to reset or modify these settings when Outlook won't save the changes?

trying to remove an email address from my blocked senders list ... something went wrong, please try again later.

If you only need to get an email off your Blocked list, or add to Safe, but can't save changes:

At the moment there appears to be a problem with the Microsoft server software that is preventing you from making changes to the Safe/Blocked list.

    Hi @Roberto ,

If you have not already been accessing outlook.com via a web browser, my first suggestion would be to try to add the sender to your safe senders list there.

If not, I might ask another question if you have your Outlook mail account tied to a mobile device?

I have seen in previous cases that the phone's mail app might have the email address marked as junk or blocked so Outlook will comply with the settings of the phone after the email arrives in the mailbox. Some mail apps will perform a "sweep" of rules that you have set to keep your mailbox clean based of your phone mail app settings.

Keep up posted on your findings and any other questions you may have!
