Does your current wrong birthday is reflecting you as a minor? If so, you won't be able to change it by yourself.

When you go to https://account.live.com, did this screen pop up?

You want to choose "I am a parent or guardian", then sign into a different Microsoft account whose date of birth indicating an adult user. If you don't have one you can use, you can create a new one just for this purpose for now. It will prompt you to sign in, and give your account consent, and join your family group. Once joining the new account's family group, go to https://account.live.com/mykids.aspx sign in with the new account (adult one), you should see your "child" account listed. Click on "Edit this child's personal info" And it will let you update the date of birth for this child user.

Once updated, you can then use the "Remove consent for this child's account", then go back to the family safety page, click on this child account and choose "remove from family group".

If the account is an adult Microsoft account, update the birth date in the Microsoft account profile:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft account profile for the account that needs to be updated.
    2. Edit the birth date details.
    3. Select Save.

If Microsoft is treating the account as a child account, the birth date usually cannot be changed directly from that account.

Use the path that matches the message shown:

    1. If the account shows “Parent or guardian consent is required for this account”:
      • Sign in at https://login.live.com to start a consent request.
      • Select I’m a parent or guardian.
      • Sign in with an adult personal Microsoft account.
      • Select Yes, I agree on the consent form.
      • Select Family Safety.
      • Go to https://account.live.com/mykids.aspx.
      • Select Edit this child’s personal info and update the birth date.
    2. If the child account already has consent:
      • Sign in with the adult Microsoft account that gave consent at https://account.live.com/mykids.aspx.
      • Select Edit this child’s personal info and update the birth date.

    Important:

    • A child account cannot remove its own consent or edit its own birth date when the listed age is below the statutory age for that country or region.
    • If the child is not listed, the signed-in adult does not have permission to edit that information.
    • If sign-in is blocked, use the sign-in helper. Microsoft support can route technical help, but support agents cannot directly change account details.
