Clarification on Teams Rooms Pro Management Incident Webhook Integration GA Timeline and Alternative GA Programmatic Integration Mechanisms for Device Monitoring and Alerting
Hi Team,
Would like to seek guidance regarding the following Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management (PMP) Incident Webhook Integration capability:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/rooms/pmp-incident-webhook-integration
The documentation currently states that this feature is in Preview and that Microsoft reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue the feature at any time without notice.
As we are evaluating this capability for integration with our enterprise monitoring and observability platform, it is important for us to understand the long-term direction and supportability of this feature.
Currently, we leverage the Device Health Monitoring capability and its associated webhook mechanism for proactively monitoring Microsoft Teams Rooms, Android devices, and related peripherals:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/alerts/device-health-status
However, with the announced transition of Teams Android Device Management from the Teams Admin Center (TAC) to the Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal (PMP) under the Unified Device Management initiative (MC1227622), we understand that the existing monitoring approach may be impacted or deprecated after September 2026.
As a result, we would appreciate clarification on the following:
1. Is there an estimated timeline or roadmap for this capability to reach General Availability (GA)?
2. Prior to GA, are there any expected changes to:
Webhook payload schema
Supported incident/event types
Authentication and authorization mechanisms
Delivery and retry behavior
- Subscription configuration and management
3.Can customers reasonably consider this capability stable enough for production monitoring scenarios while it remains in Preview, or is it recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes until GA is announced?
4. Are there any currently supported GA or near-GA programmatic alternatives available for:
Receiving Teams Rooms device health alerts
Receiving incident notifications
Monitoring Teams Rooms operational status
- Integrating with external monitoring, observability, and IT operations platforms through APIs, webhooks, event-driven mechanisms, or subscriptions
- For retrieving inventory, device health, incidents, alerts from Teams Rooms Pro Management
5.If the Incident Webhook Integration remains in Preview for an extended period, what is Microsoft's recommended approach for customers requiring production-grade integrations and proactive monitoring capabilities?
Additional Context
We are not looking to leverage the direct ServiceNow integration available through Teams Rooms Pro Management Portal:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/rooms/microsoft-teams-rooms-configure-servicenow
Due to organizational policies, direct third-party platform integrations with ServiceNow are not permissible in our environment.
Instead, we are specifically interested in understanding the available programmatic integration mechanisms that are either:
- Generally Available (GA),
- Near GA,
- Or recommended by Microsoft for production use cases,
such as:
- Webhook-based integrations
- Event-driven architectures
- API-based integrations
- Subscription and notification frameworks
- Other supported mechanisms for retrieving inventory, device health, incidents, alerts, and operational telemetry from Teams Rooms Pro Management
Any information regarding the roadmap, expected GA timeline, recommended adoption strategy, and long-term integration direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance.
