How do I add a reminder in the new Outlook

In the old Outlook I was able to add a reminder to my contact records and use Outlook as my CRM. In the new Outlook I don't see that functionality.

A little help please.

    At this time, New Outlook does not support creating reminders directly for Contacts in the same way as Outlook Classic. Instead, you will need to create reminders through Microsoft To Do.

    Steps to create a reminder in New Outlook:

    1. Open To Do from the left navigation pane.
    2. Under Add a task, create a new task related to the contact you want to follow up with. User's image
    3. Select the task you just created, then click Remind me.
    4. Set the desired date and time for the reminder.

    If you would like Microsoft to support direct Contact reminders in New Outlook in the future, you can submit your feedback to the product team through Microsoft's official Feedback Portal.

    When a suggestion receives significant positive feedback and support from users, Microsoft may consider adding or restoring that functionality in future updates to help improve the overall user experience.

    In new Outlook, contact reminders like classic Outlook’s contact-based CRM workflow are not available in the same way. In classic Outlook, reminders can be added to contacts by using Tags > Follow Up > Add Reminder. In new Outlook, reminders are supported for calendar events and tasks instead.

    Practical workaround in new Outlook:

    1. Open To Do from the left navigation pane.
    2. Create or select a task related to that contact.
    3. Select Remind me.
    4. Choose later today, tomorrow, next week, or pick a specific date and time.

    If the reminder is tied to a birthday or anniversary, new Outlook also supports a birthday calendar. In classic Outlook, reminders are added by default when a birthday or anniversary is added to an Outlook contact.

    If the goal is specifically to keep using contact records with reminders as a CRM-style workflow, classic Outlook still supports that model:

    1. Open the contact or use People.
    2. Choose Tags > Follow Up > Add Reminder.
