If Minecraft multiplayer is blocked, check these settings first:
- Sign in to the Xbox privacy settings page for the account that will play.
- Make sure these are set to Allow:
- Join multiplayer games
- Cross-network play
- If the account is a child account in a Microsoft Family, the adult organizer may need to change those permissions.
- On the PC, sign out and back in with the same account in this order:
- Microsoft Store
- Xbox app
- Minecraft Launcher
- Clear the Microsoft Store cache:
- Press Win + R
- Run
wsreset
- Restart the PC and try Minecraft again.
If the multiplayer button is still disabled, remove and re-add the Microsoft account on the device:
- Sign out of Minecraft and the Xbox app.
- Go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts.
- Remove the account.
- Add it again.
- Sign back in to the Xbox app and Minecraft.
