Bing app thing

There is no documented PC-only or no-app alternative when the redemption flow only offers Verify with the Bing app and phone verification is unavailable.

What is supported:

1. QR code verification is available only when redeeming in a web browser on a PC or mobile device, when account verification is required, and when the reward is not set to Auto-redeem.
2. The QR code option does not appear when redeeming inside the Bing app.
3. The supported QR flow is:
   • Sign in to the Microsoft Rewards site and choose a reward.
   • Select Verify with the Bing app.
   • Scan the QR code with a mobile device.
   • Enter the 6-digit verification code.
   • Return to the redemption screen and complete redemption.

If the Bing app path is failing or the device cannot use the app, try these supported troubleshooting steps:

1. Make sure the browser and operating system are up to date.
2. Clear browser cache and cookies.
3. Turn off any VPN, proxy, or third-party security software temporarily.
4. Try a different browser, device, or network.
5. Make sure the same Microsoft account is signed in for Microsoft Rewards and the Bing app if testing on another device.
