A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
For consistent header text on Word for Mac, edit the header directly and make sure the same header settings are applied across the document.
- Double-click the header area on a page that looks wrong.
- Select the header text and replace or retype it if needed so the formatting matches the pages that look correct.
- If the first page is supposed to be different, turn on Different First Page. If not, leave it off.
- If odd and even pages are using different headers, turn off Different Odd & Even Pages unless that layout is intentional.
- When finished, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
If the issue is line spacing or paragraph spacing inside the header text itself:
- Select the text in the header.
- Go to Home > Line and Paragraph Spacing.
- Choose the spacing wanted.
- For exact control, select Line Spacing Options and adjust Before and After spacing.
If only some pages differ, the document may be using different first-page or odd/even header settings rather than a different top margin. For Mac, Different odd and even is a document setting.
