can't open a saved word document

I have a Word document that is saved in my Word folder but I can't open it now. I get an error message. I really need to be able to open it.

Please provide a screenshot of the error indicated when you try to open that file, and is this problem only occurring with the one Word file or all files.

In the meantime, if you use OneDrive to sync your files online, if you log into OneDrive in a web browser (https://onedrive.live.com/), is there a version of that file available there that you can download and open.

I used One Drive and was able to open the file. How should I save the file now to be able to open in the future? Thanks so much

If you found the file on OneDrive online, select the file, then at the top you should see a Download button to download the file into your Downloads folder on your PC.

I HAVE A WORD DOCUMENT THAT IS SAVED IN MY WORD FOLDER BUT I CAN'T OPEN IT NOW. I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE. I REALLY NEED TO BE ABLE TO OPEN IT
