A module within Microsoft Viva that serves as an enterprise social networking platform. It fosters community building, open dialogue, and knowledge sharing across an organization.
Based on my understanding, posting to a Viva Engage community using a shared mailbox identity is not currently supported. Viva Engage posts are associated with individual user accounts rather than shared mailboxes. Users can post using their own licensed accounts, including Community Admins, Viva Engage/Network Admins, and Global Administrators, provided they have the necessary access to the community. However, none of these roles can post as a shared mailbox identity.

To better understand your situation, could you please provide a bit more information about the scenario?
- How are you attempting to post (Viva Engage web, Teams, Outlook, etc.)?
- Are you trying to post as the shared mailbox address or from a user account that has access to the shared mailbox?
- Do you receive any error message? If yes, please share a screenshot or the exact error text.
- Is the community configured as a restricted community, where only community admins can create new posts?
I hope this information helps.
