No access to Outlook or OneDrive

I can log in to my personal Microsoft account using Edge or Firefox; however, I cannot access from either browser my OneDrive or Outlook email. I logged out of my account from my phone, ipad, and laptop. I can access my Microsoft account on my laptop but cannot complete authentication on my phone or ipad.

I'm trying to access onedrive from Edge the browser. I have logged in to my microsoft account. Onedrive appears to be running but when I click on "my files" the screen shows no file or folder. After a few seconds there's a pop-up window asking me to sign in. then it went away. then on the screen shows a message:

Unknown render failure.

Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation.

Correlation ID: 7ab636a2-2072-e000-020e-686af1fd785f

I closed the browser, cleared the history, then repeated the process of logging in to microsoft. Tried to access onedrive, got the same result, except for another correlation ID. The same thing happened when I tried to open outlook. the only difference is the correlation IDs keep changing.

On the email side, did you get the 500 Error code?

The current incident doesn't report to involve OneDrive issue, but from the correlation ID, it seems to be server side error as well.

You can try browser inPrivate mode, if it still doesn't work, I think it might have to do with the current incident.

I think there's something going on Microsoft's end right now. I am seeing many people reporting this issue, but Microsoft has not announced this on their service status page. However, there's an active service incident report on the commercial side. It can be related. You can use Microsoft's X/Twitter account page to check for update

Try these checks in order:

Verify the account credentials by signing in to the Microsoft account dashboard. If sign-in there works, the username and password are valid.
For OneDrive on the laptop, if the OneDrive icon is gray or has a line through it:
- Select the OneDrive icon.
- At the Set up OneDrive screen, enter the email address and password again.
If OneDrive shows a connection error during sign-in, restart OneDrive. If the app is missing or outdated, install the latest version.
If OneDrive still does not open in browser or app, test whether the network is blocking Microsoft services:
- Temporarily disconnect any VPN.
- Check whether a firewall or internet provider is blocking OneDrive or Microsoft 365 access.
- As a quick test, try a mobile hotspot instead of the current network.
If the issue is on iPhone or iPad mail access for Outlook or Hotmail:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Mail > Accounts.
- Select the Outlook account.
- Open Account Settings or the Password field.
- Enter the correct or updated password.
- Tap Done.
- Open the Mail app and confirm mail sync works.
If the mobile apps keep prompting for a password, install the latest version of OneDrive or Outlook mobile.
If OneDrive sign-in shows "Selected user account does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services'" or "cannot access the application '00000003-0000-0ff1-ce00-000000000000'", that means a personal account is being used against a work or school OneDrive site. Use the correct personal Microsoft account for personal OneDrive, or the work/school Entra ID for an organization account.
If the problem affects only OneDrive and Outlook access but the Microsoft account itself works, use the Microsoft account sign-in helper for personal account recovery and sign-in troubleshooting.
