can't reinstall minecraft

I originally purchased bedrock Minecraft from Majong. My old computer died and I want to install it on my new computer but I don't want to pay for it again. My old computer is dead and I don't know my old account number.

Hi,
You do not need the old computer or an "account number." What matters is identifying the Microsoft account that originally owned the purchase. I believe that at some point you linked your Mojang account with your MSFT account.

On the new PC, download the official Minecraft Launcher from Minecraft.net or install it through the Microsoft Store.

Simply sign in, and the game should reactivate on its own.

Check whether the purchase is tied to the Microsoft account currently being used:
- Go to Order history and sign in with the Microsoft account believed to have been used for the purchase.
- If Minecraft appears there, the license is attached to that account.
If the game does not appear in Order history, check Microsoft Store on any PC where the account may still be signed in:
- Open Microsoft Store.
- Select the profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Verify which Microsoft account is signed in.
- That exact account is the one that owns the Minecraft license if the game shows as owned there.
On the new PC, sign in with the same account everywhere:
- Microsoft Store
- Minecraft Launcher
- Xbox sign-in if prompted
In Microsoft Store on the new PC:
- Open Library or My Library.
- Look for Minecraft.
- If it shows Download or Install, select it.
If the launcher still shows Buy even though the order is completed, sign out of Store and Launcher, restart the PC, then sign back in to refresh the license.
If Microsoft Store is not detecting the entitlement correctly, reset the Store app cache:
- Press Windows key + R.
- Run wsreset.exe.
- Wait for Microsoft Store to reopen automatically, then try again.
If the purchase was made through a third-party source, download and product key details must come from that seller.
If the original account cannot be identified and the old PC is unavailable, account-level recovery or entitlement verification requires support. Use Contact Microsoft Support.
