The resolution and refresh rate of the signal sent to your monitor are determined by the graphics card and its driver, not by Windows.
FORCEFULLY matching active signal resolution to desktop resolution

I have a monitor that natively goes to 4k@30 and I want to use it at 1440p@120 but windows keeps forcing the active signal resolution to 4k.
I have tried every single "fix" online, both from this forum and different websites, it´s been a known problem for YEARS and it bugs out both the TV itself and any app I try running on the resolution i actually want.
- Settings > Display > Advanced Display > Display adapter settings > List All Mode (Did absolutely nothing)
- Doing the same but going back to a 720p or other random resolution to try and force the active scaling to change (Did absolutely nothing)
- AMD adrenaline software disabling GPU scaling (Did absolutely nothing)
- Going into the registry and deleting every monitor configuration to force it to recognize again, it recognized as a 4k monitor and (Did absolutely nothing)
- Using the CRU to delete every other resolution and leaving only 1440p and reseting my monitor (Did absolutely nothing)
- Reseting monitor drivers (Did absolutely nothing)
I´m literally out of options, there are no more fixes online, other than switching to linux.
