Request to Save Default Report Filters

To improve efficiency when pulling the Survey Verbatims report, I would like to save my seven standard filter selections as a default or reusable report view. This would allow the selected options to automatically load each time I access the report, requiring only the date range to be updated. Having the filters prepopulated would reduce manual setup time, ensure consistency in reporting, and streamline the process whenever I need to pull Survey Verbatims data.

SSRS has no built-in feature to save personal filter presets in the report viewer.

    You can try following:

Linked report: Create a linked report from Survey Verbatims and set your seven filters as default parameter values on it. You open it and change only the date range. Availability depends on your SSRS version/edition and whether your role permits creating portal items so confirm both before relying on this.

If the report is a SQL Server Reporting Services report and it is enabled for prefiltering with a default filter, the default filter can be saved and reused.

    To set it:

    1. Open the Reports area.
    2. Select the report.
    3. On the command bar, select Edit Default Filter.
    4. Modify the filter criteria.
    5. Select Save Default Filter.

That saved default filter is then used each time any user runs the report.

For Dynamics 365 report wizard reports, if no default filter is set when the report is published, the default filter is automatically set to all records of the entity modified within the last 30 days.
