Why teams login fails silently?

I`m using teams for personal use, after updating to windows 11 i cant log into my account. Pressing "create account" or "next" (after inputting email of course) on this form just causes this modal to blink for a split second, then it closes, and nothing else happens.Безымянный

    Hi,

    I will walk through a few steps with you. Some of these are just to help figure out what is wrong, not to fix it right away. So if nothing changes after a step, that is normal. I will keep going until we solve it.

    STEP 1:

    In Windows Search, type in PowerShell, right-click on it, and then choose Run as administrator. Run:

    Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin* | Reset-AppxPackage

    Also in an elevated CMD, run the following:

    RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl,ResetIEtoDefaults

    STEP 2:

    Press Windows + R, type %localappdata%\Microsoft and press Enter.

    Delete the contents of the Identity cache folder.

    STEP 3:

    1. Press Windows + R.
    2. Enter: 
         %LocalAppData%\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams
    3. Delete all contents of that folder.
    4. Start Microsoft Teams again and sign in if prompted.

    Thanks, next step.

    Press Windows+R keys on the keyboard, or Right-click Start on the Taskbar and choose Run.

    Type %localappdata%\packages

    Press Enter.

    Locate Microsoft.Windows.CloudExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy folder and delete it.

    Restart the computer and verify.

    Hi,

    No worries.

    Does the issue persist in a new Local account?

    Open the Settings app by clicking on the Start menu and selecting the gear icon.

    Click on "Accounts."

    Click on "Family & other users" in the left-hand menu.

    Under "Other users," click on "Add someone else to this PC."

    Select "I don't have this person's sign-in information."

    Click on "Add a user without a Microsoft account."

    Enter a username and password for the new account.

    Click on "Next" and then "Finish."

    The new local account will now be added to your Windows PC. Use Teams in that and let me know.

    What exactly is the OS version of your Windows 11 installation? Teams might not work if Windows is missing the latest updates.

    Uninstall any currently installed Teams app.

    Install the latest Teams version using this installer site.

    Login to Teams using your Microsoft email address or legacy Skype Name.
