Re Order Id: [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]
I have been trying to cancel this subscription since August last year, 2025, that is now over 13 months, and have not been able to do so. I only worked for a 9 month period up to June 2025 and no longer use it.
The key issue is that I cannot log into to the Microsoft Account with my personal email address - it asks for a business or school address. I may have, but would be surprised if I had registered the subscription under my work e-mail address as all other visible details including the e-mail you use are my personal details. The work e-mail is obviously no longer active, for the last 14mths now and not accessible.
You do not appear to have any offices in Australia or even more surprisingly any phone number where i can talk to an actual real person to work this through.
Specific Microsoft Actions to date, in addition to many attempts via different methods to cancel.
- In August 2025 I had a “conversation” with an auto bot which did not provide any outcome.
- In July 2026 I had a long chat session with an auto bot, I can attach a copy of the session if required.
Both were unsuccessful and did not provide a process enabling me to cancel the subscription.
You must be able to refer to both of the above for an more detailed understanding of the actual issue.
I have contacted my bank on multi occasions since August 2025 and their response was that i should cancel my credit card and get a new one. I am not prepared to do that as it is extremely inconvenient and time consuming when i consider the issue is due to lack of adequate process and service on Microsoft’s side.
My credit card expired in July 2026, so i assumed the DD would auto stop. It did not and even tho you didn’t have my latest CC details you were still able to deduct the August $$. I fund this incredible and what i would think was against all banking and partnership principles.
The bank in the meantime has refunded the last 3 direct debits, not the last 12 which i consider they should have done. I have received an e-mail from Microsoft stating that these 3 invoices are now past due, even though you should be able to see that they were initially paid and then reversed. I will NOT be paying these and expect a refund for all Invoices since August 2025.
Could you please respond to this email as a matter of urgency or i will seek a method for escalating this and refer to our local Ombudsman.
