Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
For a Microsoft for Startups program verification issue in the new Azure Portal experience, the correct path is Microsoft for Startups Program Support, not the generic Azure Help + Support flow.
Use this route:
- Sign in to the Azure portal.
- Navigate to the startup homepage.
- In the Overview tab, find Your Microsoft Team.
- Select Get program support.
- Submit the request under the category that best matches the verification or benefit issue.
Program Support handles issues such as:
- Azure credit activation issues
- Benefit redemption issues
- Verification and compliance
- Portal access problems
- Entitlement or ownership corrections
The generic Azure support path is intended for Azure service errors, outages, billing, subscription issues, and production incidents. It is not the right channel for Microsoft for Startups program verification review.
For the support request, include:
- the verification-failure screenshot
- screenshots showing the Azure support loop
- business registration/supporting documents
- domain ownership evidence
- product information
- a clear note that this is a manual review request for an existing Microsoft for Startups verification, not a new application
If the startup joined prior to May 29, 2026, the support path is through the Microsoft for Startups Portal instead:
- Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups Portal.
- Select the ? icon.
- Select Submit a Support Ticket.
