Hi,
My Microsoft for Startups business verification failed, but the portal only says “We couldn’t verify your startup” and does not give me a reason or a way to correct the application.
I’m using the new Microsoft for Startups Preview experience in Azure Portal. I also tried the normal Azure Help + Support path. It routes me through Subscription Management / Benefits and Offers, gives troubleshooting advice, and then sends me back through the same support flow instead of allowing me to open a verification case.
I believe the verification failure may be a name/entity mapping issue rather than an eligibility issue.
I am a sole proprietor. The application used Matthew Hinkle as the registered entity. My supporting records show:
Matthew H Hinkle / Always Carry Bubbles on the IRS EIN assignment
Always Carry Bubbles on the Los Angeles County Fictitious Business Name filing
Eyelet as the software product being submitted
The business records are current, and I can privately provide the EIN notice, FBN filing, domain ownership evidence, product information, verification-failure screenshot, and screenshots showing the Azure support loop.
Could a Microsoft moderator please help route this to Microsoft for Startups Program Support / Business Verification for manual review, or tell me the correct way to reopen the verification?
I’m not trying to create another startup application. I’d simply like to correct whatever information is unclear in the existing one.
Thank you,
Matthew H. Hinkle
