I am unable to access my trial. In the email, it says to click on Start your trial. When I do that, it asks for my email, which I enter, but it does not seem to recognize it.

If the trial sign-in email address is not recognized, use the account that the trial is actually assigned to.

For Visio Plan 2, access depends on the account type:

    • Visio Plan 2 trial/subscription uses a work or school account.
    • A personal Microsoft account is not the account used for Visio Plan 2 access.

    Try this:

    1. Open a private/incognito browser window to avoid cached sign-in sessions.
    2. Go to https://www.microsoft365.com and sign in with the work or school account associated with the trial.
    3. If the trial was created during signup and the original email is not being accepted, check the trial welcome/confirmation email for the actual sign-in name. In some trial cases, the account can be a temporary organizational account ending in onmicrosoft.com.
    4. If that account is found, sign in with that full organizational username and the password created during signup.
    5. If sign-in works but Visio still is not available, the account may not have the Visio Plan 2 license assigned. In that case, the Microsoft 365 admin must assign the license.

If the welcome email does not show the actual sign-in account, or the account still cannot be accessed, contact Microsoft Support through the support flow referenced in the Visio trial guidance.

    Hi @Angela Nolte,

Visio Plan 2 trials are normally associated with a work or school account, so the email address you're entering may not be the same account that was used when the trial was activated.

I noticed the AI-generated response on this thread suggested a couple of troubleshooting steps that seem reasonable. You may want to carefully review the welcome email and verify the full sign-in name associated with the trial, as it could be different from your regular email address. In some cases, the account may use an .onmicrosoft.com domain, or it may use your organization's custom domain if the trial was activated under a work or school account.

If you're able to sign in at https://www.microsoft365.com successfully but Visio does not appear among your available apps, it may indicate that the Visio Plan 2 trial license is not currently assigned to your account. In that case, your Microsoft 365 administrator may need to review the license assignment and ensure the Visio trial license is assigned to the correct user.

Please give these suggestions a try and let me know the results. If you have any updates or encounter any specific error messages, feel free to reply back. The AI-generated response may not be able to continue the conversation with you, but I would be glad to help further based on any additional information you provide.

    Thank you for taking time.
