I have never used Azure before. I’m getting “You’re not eligible for an Azure free account” while activating Microsoft for Startups credits. Please review my eligibility and help activate the credits.

2. Confirm the account has not been used with other Azure offers The account is ineligible if it was previously used with:
   • Azure Free Trial
   • Azure for Students

3. Check activation timing Azure credits must be activated within 90 days of accepting the program agreement. If not activated within that period, the offer expires and reapplication is required.
4. Complete activation through the correct flow If joined before May 29, 2026, use the Microsoft for Startups portal:
   • Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups Portal
   • Select Activate Azure
   • Select Link Microsoft account
   • Choose the Microsoft account for the credits and select Activate
   • Select Complete Azure sign-up
   • Add a payment method; charges do not start until credits expire
5. Verify profile and payment details if the error shown is eligibility-related For the error “You aren't eligible for an Azure subscription”, the documented checks are:
   • Contact email address is correct
   • Street address is correct
   • Telephone number is correct
   • Credit card information is correct
   • No existing Microsoft account already uses the same information
