    If it is asking for a USB, it means you were using a local user. Is this the only user on the computer? The USB recovery drive is something you wanted to create on this computer prior to this. At this point if you never created it it won’t help.

    You will either need to answer the security questions if they were set up or have the USB if it was ever created. Otherwise there is no way to reset the password. You will need to factory reset to start over in this case.
