Perhaps support can explain why my account was suspended; I checked the Azure health status and nothing was detected, yet I received an email stating I had committed a violation. This is also potentially jeopardizing my ongoing university coursework.

    Hello @Hartono Adji Susanto

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Q&A Support team,

I understand your concern. Azure Service Health only reports platform and service-related incidents and would not typically show account suspensions or compliance-related actions.

If you received an email indicating that your account was suspended due to a policy violation, the suspension was likely the result of a compliance, security, or risk review rather than an Azure service outage.

To understand the exact reason for the suspension, please contact Azure Subscription and Billing Support and provide the suspension notification email. The support team can review your account, explain the reason for the suspension, confirm whether an appeal or review process is available, and advise on any steps required to restore access.

As this subscription is being used for university coursework, please highlight the academic impact in your request and ask for an expedited review. Be sure to include your Subscription ID, account email address, and any reference or case numbers from the suspension notice.

The only user-side actions available are:

We understand the impact this situation may have on your studies and recommend submitting the re-enablement request as soon as possible so the appropriate team can investigate and advise on the next steps.

Thank you for your understanding, and please let us know if you need help locating the correct support channel.

    Regards,

    Venkat.M

I think Azure doesn’t disclose why a subscription gets suspended, and the only user‑side steps are submitting “Re‑enable” from portal → Help + support → Subscription management, and submitting the same request from the Azure Support page when the portal or session won’t create the case.

For Azure account or subscription suspensions tied to suspicious activity or terms-of-use violations, the documented path is to open an Azure support request for review by the security team.

Use Azure portal and go to Help + support > Create a support request. For disabled subscriptions, use:

    • Issue type: Subscription management
    • Problem type: Re-enable my subscription

If the message says the subscription was disabled for security reasons or suspicious activity, the decision is reviewed through that support process. Billing and subscription support is available at no cost.

Azure Service Health not showing an issue does not rule out an account-level or subscription-level enforcement action, because those are handled as security/policy reviews rather than platform outage events.
