Taskbar keeps hiding

I like my taskbar to show all the time. I know how to go to settings-taskbar personalization- I want to click on "Show my taskbar on all displays". I see it but it is dim and will not let me click on it. How do I make it an option so I can have my taskbar show all the time? Thank you in advance for your help.

How many displays (Screens) do you have that you want the taskbar to show on them?

Is it grayed out so you can't select the setting below?

You have Windows activated, right?

Yes it is greyed. I do have Windows activated. I do not have the hide taskbar checked. I think my question might have been inaccurate. I only have 1 monitor, not multiple. So I think my question should have been, I used to have an option to "Taskbar always on top". Is that not an option any longer? Thank you for your help

Hi,

In this case, they are grayed out because if you only have one monitor, it makes sense that it's grayed out. You'll be able to change this option if you have the monitors in extended mode and have a second screen.

Open the command prompt (admin) and run the commands: sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, wait for the process to finish and restart the computer.

Then perform a clean boot.

Apparently, this bug does a test with Rude. I had solved a user's problem with it; maybe it works.
